My students need Learning Alive Plus Suite, which includes Letters alive, Storybooks alive, and Math alive, teacher training and a full school year of lesson plans mapped to Common Core State Standard for Kindergarten. Kindergarten students are expected to read and write by the end of the school year, but just seeing a letter, word, or number on a flash card is not enough to make it stick. Because of limited exposure at home or English language differences, many students also need to have something else they can relate to so they understand the concepts being presented in class. Learning alive allows the students to see the concepts "come to life," by including lessons on Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Letter Identification and Printing, Reading and Comprehension, Word Order, Sentence Building, and more. Math alive supports student learning by including lessons on Number Sense, Computation, Data and Probability, Patterns, Geometry, Measurement, and Money. Students will be able to engage and learn whole group, small group, and independently by also using the My Letters alive Journals to support the curriculum.
