My kindergarten students are a busy, active, curious group of English Language Learners with different levels of English language skills. The students in this classroom come from homes where over 12 different languages are spoken and there are over 30 different languages spoken in the homes of the students attending this school. The school is a Title 1, high poverty, no charge, Leader In Me school that is working towards their Lighthouse status. We encourage the students to become leaders in the classroom and in their community by finding the best in each of them. We have our students strive to meet high goals/standards and encourage them to be successful life long learners. The students in this classroom often do not have opportunities to engage their bodies in movements outside of their low income housing. Given these wobble seats will allow my children to wiggle while learning and help to keep them focused on tasks that are critical in the language learning process.
