Students will be using Vernier probes to collect more detailed data on objects' motion. The physical science class spends a quarter of the year on motion and projectiles. The Go!Motion probe will allow students to collect data and make changes to their cart but also understand the math behind the science. Students will be making cars and racing them using the motion dector to collect data. This is a hands-on activity that students get excited about. Students start off by designing a car that has to move with blowing up a balloon. Students get the opportunity to use their creative side and try many different designs for a car.
