After a year of distance learning, students are excited to be back in the classroom connecting and working with their peers. They thrive on learning through hands-on projects and activities. All the materials in this Donors Choose project will support a full year of fourth grade NGSS science experiments. Science experiments not only provide students with content knowledge, but also problem-solving, creativity, higher-level thinking, and team-building skills. Opportunities to explore with their peers build the confidence to communicate new concepts and vocabulary. In the spring, students will use these learning skills when taking the California state tests (SBAC), and for my emergent bilingual students, the English Language Proficiency Assessment for California (ELPAC).
