My young scholars are curious, passionate, and energetic! They are open and willing to learn, however they need access to more technology. As expectations rise, these scholars need to research, explore, discover, learn and just plain type. Our school is a supportive and safe learning environment, however there are not enough resources for students to have exposure to computers on a daily or even weekly basis. Having a set of laptops in the room will give my students opportunities to explore places, time periods, characters, authors, and writers that we address in curriculum. This element will increase experiential discovery that ultimately allows students to internalize and remember what they are learning. It will allow them to engage and collaborate with other students in a safe and monitored online environment. My students need and deserve these educational opportunities!
