My students, in the East Salinas community, are struggling as the new Common Core State Standards continue to lengthen the gap between them, success, and learning. Fortunately for them, they are part of a great school that cares and wants the best for them. My students need a chance to prove themselves, and they need more opportunities that will help build their confidence and feelings of success. They need to be reminded that they can learn, and that learning and school can be engaging and fun.

About my class
