In a typical school year we are moving around the classroom all day. Teaching and learning during a pandemic, does not allow for a lot of movement in order to reduce the spread of germs around the classroom. I implemented flexible seating a few years ago and have found it to be very beneficial. It gives the children some choice and helps them to focus their minds as they are able to gently move their bodies. Being able to add wobble stools and the ball chair to the mix, will allow my students more opportunity for movement and choice. The clipboards will allow them to hold their work in their lap when they have to spread out in the classroom.
