My students are scientists, mathematicians, explorers, writers, artists and more. Their curiosity is contagious and leads to many great learning experiences daily. At my Title I school, there are oftentimes students who come in thinking that their situation affects their ability. I live and teach by the quote from Ladybird Johnson "Children are likely to live up to what you believe in them". I think that any child can and will do amazing things when they have a cheering section (parents and teachers) who help to build their confidence and independence. When we believe in them, they believe in themselves and each other and amazing things can happen.
