My students are energetic and inquisitive eighth graders who attend a Title One school in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Most of my students are from low income families who can not afford to buy iPad for their children. My students have developed a love of learning Algebra because of current technologies. They get very motivated and engaged when they come up to the Smart Board and interact with the Dragon Box App, which teaches them to solve multi-step equations, in a fun, game-based format. I only have one iPad that is used for demonstration purposes, and I would love if each of my students were able to interact with the many amazing mathematical applications. I believe that students learn best when they enjoy learning. My goal is for students to enjoy learning Algebra, while developing a solid understanding of Algebra content.
