Teaching in a STEM school takes a lot of preparation. My fourth graders are not new to discovery, inquiry, and the power of choice. They are given the power to choose, whether it is choosing the right books to read or what to write about during writing time. They love to discover on their own how things work and how this affect their daily lives. They have the stamina to go about their days and have fun as well. With limited number of books in our class library, the opportunities to make this happen are lessened and the amount of learning is minimized, therefore, compromising their chances of ultimate learning.

About my class
