Students will have access to books and be able to ANNOTATE and utilize other resources in their reading. I will use a class set for reading and give option to students with special needs to annotate text. Students are at a deficit in their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills and I want to use this book/reading experience as an opportunity to rebuild the confidence of our highest level students. Students have been missing out on so many opportunities, and an example of this is having a supportive and directed reading experience that builds upon their cognitive abilities to expand those scholastic skills in preparation for the college-level independence necessary to compete at the highest levels of post-secondary education.
