Our school is high with low income families and we have more than 1800 students enrolled on a yearly basis. Many of the children are English Language Learners so they need to learn to communicate with their teachers and with each other. Many of this happens with their drawings. They express feelings and emotions. The paper the school provides is a very thin paper and it's hard for them to erase and correct because the paper tears. Because my students are Kindergarten, many of them have not had a school experience. I depend on their drawings for them to communicate their "writing".
