S Elementary is a small community-based school in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, DC. Forty-five percent of our students are English language learners from around the world and most of our students are eligible for reduced-price or free meals. Our students come from the Ukraine and El Salvador, Ethiopia and China and each bring their rich cultural experiences with them. We offer a warm and loving learning environment where students are encouraged to discover their potential and embrace new experiences.
