My students are mostly Hispanics and some English speakers learning Spanish. The dual language program helps both groups become bi-literate. My students are very enthusiastic this year. I can see the eagerness in their faces to learn. They are hard working kids. They are emerged in both languages everyday and this can be a challenge without the proper resources. Our school does the best they can with the little they get. We are a rural school with 800 plus kids; half those kids are in the dual language program. My groups are of 20 or more kids, more than mainstream.
