In an effort to bring out responsible decision making, I would like to add a few more seating options in my classroom. Bean bag chairs will add to the beginning of our transformation to a more “Flexible Seating Friendly” classroom. Flexible seating allows students to be responsible for what works best for them. Students quickly become more motivated to focus on the task they’ve been given and almost always make good choices about where they sit. They remain focused on tasks and are less disruptive to their peers. Given the choice of flexible seating, my students gain an appreciation for the power of responsible decisions.
