In addition to garnering lots of attention and care when it comes to learning, they need books! Their love for reading is prevalent, yet we lack resources at my school. In a society that thrives on the written word, it is more challenging for many of my students as the first language in their home is that of an oral language. 50% of my students struggle with the written word. These children are curious, fun, engaging an full of enthusiasm. Readers at all levels enter and exit my classroom therefore, I endeavor to create a rich, diverse library for them to choose from, at their personal reading level, to create success.
