Research is important to the library media program. Chromebooks give students access to important sources of information, such as our data bases. We have online curated searching engines that provide information that is safe and balanced and useful for study. One role of a media specialist is to help students wade through the morass of truth and falsehood in the digital world and these chrome books can give us the resources to manage this. There is a lot of information and disinformation on the net. We also have reading programs, such as MyOn that are accessed with Chromebooks and provide a guided reading platform that students live.
