My students are in grades 9-12 and most have never had any form of art in school except for small amounts of arts integration in elementary grades. Many of them come from low income families and cannot afford the cost of materials or the fee for the class. My school and administration are supportive of my students and my passion for my subject. Our biggest problem is low education funds and having to split these funds between the two schools I teach at.
