The TIME for Kids magazines will compliment my current events lessons for the social studies fifth grade curriculum. Students love to learn about the world around them. Unfortunately, the news is not always an appropriate means for learning about the happenings in the world. TIME for Kids provides appropriate resources for students to learn many things that are happening in the world around us. There are even great inspirational stories about boys and girls around the world making a difference. The students love stories about the individual countries and enjoy completing projects that they have to do research. The TIME for Kids magazines also provide a platform for my classroom to have great discussions about current events.
