Without the explanation, my snow-capped mountain could have been misinterpreted as a birthday hat or a chocolate-dipped ice cream cone. Because my students are English Language Learners, I frequently use images in our science classes to support communication. With an LCD projector, I could replace my drawings with the limitless supply of photographs available on the Internet.
