Our students were provided with one charger for their laptops. Once they lose them, or the charger breaks or stops functioning, many of the students are not receiving a replacement from parents. They are able to bring in $25 for a new charger from the district, but many parents are not able to do this, as it is a low income school. Students are sharing chargers, and some are sitting in class not doing work because they say their computer is dead. Worst case I've heard is one student tried to piece together a charger (he only had half) and shocked himself when he tried it! It inspired me to come to Donors Choose to provide another option for our school.
