I am a school counselor in a large urban district where my students need a lot of social and emotional support in order to achieve academic success. Through my work as a counselor, I want to help my students develop coping techniques to use when they are faced with struggles common for kids growing up in large urban cities. With the right tools, my students will be able to build up their resilience, so that they can overcome obstacles such as poverty, lack of healthcare, language barriers and many more . I want my students to know that they do not have to be a statistic. They can DREAM BIG, reach for their goals and be young people of CHARACTER!

About my class
