I'm excited to give my second graders the opportunity to explore fictional books with strong characters. I know my students will love the adventures we will be taking on our next reading journey focusing on strong characters. The books requested are suggested texts that go along with Lucy Calkin's Units of Study for Reading. They will use the books to explore character relationships, feeling, life lessons, opinions and more. The materials will also benefit my students for years to come. It's time to explore new worlds and meet new friends... and off we go on our reading adventure!
