My kindergarten class consists of 24 "stars" as they are affectionately called. They love to learn and play. My students are very hands on and learn better with fun activities to reinforce the learning. They love to interact with one another and work on tasks in groups. We have begun to personalize learning, so students are aware and responsible for their own learning and are aware of areas in which they need more practice. Despite the fact that our school is high poverty, students excel and achieve on a high level from year to year, due in part to their eagerness to learn and the teachers and administrations core belief that all students can reach their highest potential.
