Welcome Visitors to my Web Page. My mission in our schools is to provide teachers with the sensory and motor resources they need to help students focus and pay attention. I am the supervising occupational therapist in the school district and see an alarming rise in the incidence of decreased academic performance based poor attention, poor focus, and poor motor skills. Kids need to participate in more movement and sensory experiences during their preschool years in order to be ready for school age demands and experiences. As Elementary School teachers and therapist, we cannot affect a change in preschool and home experiences, but we can affect a change starting in kindergarten. By providing teachers with tools and strategies for movement and sensory experiences for the classroom, we can enhance learning for all kids.
