In my 6th year of teaching high school art in NYC, I find myself in a new environment surrounded by superstar students who are ready to take on the world as tomorrow's leaders. Our community of artist activists need space and quality materials to help them create and explore what art looks like in 2018-2019! Our room is small and we need technology! Our basic art room resources are low (no sink, no electricity on 3 out of 4 walls, no computers or laptops, limited printer access, no storage space for artwork so things are drying on windows, radiators, on top of pianos and drums as this room is shared with music class) but even so, my students are engaged and thriving! Can you help me improve this creative space by incorporating digital and media arts into my curriculum?
