I have amazing students. I have a total of 46 students for English Language Arts and Social Studies. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and have a variety of needs. I have extremely high readers and extremely low readers. Our school is in a high poverty area and is considered Title 1. The poverty rate for our district is 85%. Our school is a wonderful school with limited resources. The students are eager to grow as readers and learners, but some of them are not confident enough in their reading abilities. They haven't found the right types of books to hook them on reading. They also get bored reading while sitting in a desk for extended amounts of time. I want to help them find their love of reading and help reading be more enjoyable for them, so they can just read.
