These materials will help my students by encouraging them to read, I want them to have a new place to relax and read and fall in love with reading. Most of the books in our classroom are falling apart and they are books the students have read and reread. The books in the order were hand picked by my students and they will be utilized during book clubs. These books will engage my students in learning while providing me with the opportunity to teach important reading and writing skills all in a comfy area in the classroom. In order to learn and excel my students need to feel safe, comfortable and at ease and that is what this new reading area I envision will give them.
