Access to great books is crucial in developing reading skills, building listening and speaking abilities, and fostering a LOVE of reading. Having small book sets or class sets of some great and current titles will enable students to share their reading experiences with one another...building a community of readers! I am requesting four small group book sets, in addition to 3 class sets of books. With these books, my students will have access to the same book that they can read together with a partner, in a book club, or even as a whole class book experience. These books will enhance our daily reading experience, as we will be able to have our very own books right at our fingertips!
