“When we make play the foundation of learning, we teach the whole child.” ~ Vince Gowmon A buddy bench is used for students who do not have anyone to play with during recess in the schoolyard. They sit there when they have nobody to play with. Other students will see that they need a friend to encourage them to play tag, catch, hula hoop or more! By looking for a classmate on the buddy bench, students can learn how to empathize for others who feel left out, understand the power of inclusivity and make new friends all thanks to the wonderful buddy bench!
