My 12th grade STEM students are a technologically savvy class in a large Queens high school. They are interested in a wide range of STEM topics, but all are interested in cutting edge technology. We are currently researching the economic, social, legal, regulatory, and engineering possibilities of using drones. We are studying the various military and commercial uses of this technology. Our next project is to engage in the pending legislation in the NY City Council by writing letters to our local representatives about an acceptable legal framework for flying drones in NYC.

About my class
