My students are just wonderful young people in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th (middle school years). They are bright young men and ladies who want more than anything, is to make a difference in the world. When you see them, you will immediately see the spark and joy in their eyes. They are middle school students! My students come with so much energy and desire! They are so much fun to be around! They are always entering the room with a joke to tell or a story to reveal. My students get along with one another so very well! They love building and designing things on their own without a script (free-style) or guide to follow. My middle school is very large, with about 1400 students with mixed races and economic backgrounds. With a school so enormous, one has to make sure there is enough activities to go around for everyone to take advantage of. We have a huge staff that works well together. Our day is very long. Students arrive early and stay late (8:00 -4:30 - 6:00 pm).
