Our students are thirteen to fourteen years old. Our school is 8th and 9th grade and has approximately fourteen hundred students. We are lucky that many of our students enjoy reading so we have started to capitalize on that and show them that history works can be exciting, interesting, and informative all at the same time. The students have been truly engaged learning about different stories of women on the frontier moving west. Reading the snippets of life on the frontier trail through the first-hand accounts, teaches the students so much more than any secondary source or textbook could.

About my class
