My school is a Title One school and currently we are at a 75% poverty rate this is determined from our students free and reduced lunch status. My students come into their first year of school wide eyed and excited. We welcome them with open arms and open hearts. They are kind, honest, hilarious and so much more. They love to move and play all day long. I have a very diverse class with 5 Hispanic students (3 of which are learning English), 8 African Americans, 2 interracial students, and 9 Caucasian students. We are a family.
