Most people can fidget (twirl your hair, doodle on your notepad) quietly while listening to speakers. Unfortunately, some kids need a little extra support to maintain focus on academic tasks while meeting their sensory needs. I teach in a low income school where about 90% of our students are on the free and reduced lunch program. My students are eager to learn despite hard circumstances they face in their everyday lives. Our school provides a loving, safe and consistent place for them.

About my class
