My third grade classroom is full of eager, hardworking children who love to explore and learn with hands-on activities every day in my classroom. These students live in a low-income, poverty stricken area and are in need of some extra supplies to help them learn more about collecting weather data through actual use of the instruments instead of just watching videos of the instruments in use online! Who needs a YouTube video when you have the actual thing? What better way for them to learn than to actually utilize a wind vane on a fall, gusty day or a rain gauge on a warm, spring day!
