Our school has limited funds to help create materials for our students. I recently became a first-grade teacher after teaching upper grades for almost two decades. I am in need of ink to create colorful materials and centers to help enhance my classroom environment and to help my students become engaged in small group settings. I plan to create a colorful word wall where they can reference high-frequency words to help them with their reading and writing activities. I also plan to create materials to help them with their phonics and phonemic awareness. I see the difference in their reactions to high-quality, color materials as opposed to black and white copies.
