My students are inquisitive, hands-on, experiential learners! My students are able to achieve great things and excel if provided the right supplies and resources! Coming from a rural county in North Carolina, my students enjoy all that rural living has to offer. Many of them overcome adversities at home to come to school each day ready to learn. High poverty levels and limited STEM funding have made getting access to the right hands-on educational lab materials a struggle. The right tools are critical to the growth and understanding of students in this curriculum. My students are curious--and ask many questions beyond the basics of the curriculum. They are eager to learn, and would benefit from having the hands-on experiences that are critical to science mastery!
