My students live in Evanston, Illinois. This community is fairly educated but my students still struggle with the same things many kids struggle with, a lack of motivation when it comes to reading. I see a big part of my job as a motivator. I want to share my love of reading with the students. There is also a large diverse population here in Evanston. Like many schools we have students with many differentiated needs. Our school has a slightly larger percentage of students who receive free or reduced lunch when compared to the other Evanston schools.
