The materials and supplies that I am requesting will be used so my students can do some of the basic but memorable lab activities in 9th grade biology, like microscopes, egg osmosis lab, and strawberry DNA extraction, just to name a few. Although there are online simulations, not all simulations can give students the full experience of collaborative work and cooperation of labs. The beakers, flasks, and graduated cylinder are general stock room equipment that all science classes must have. The meter sticks will be used extensively throughout the year, starting with the Metric System and in all science lab activities.
