My students love to learn outside the classroom. Sometimes students learn things subliminally, like angles and shapes while studying buildings in art. My project is going to allow my students to explore the world around them for shapes and angles. I hope my students learn that shapes are important in nature and life all around. When I think of fusing art with other academic subjects, I think creation. My students will use these iPads and laptop to fuse art and math on their own. Students will create their illustrations digitally and upload pictures of shapes in nature and all around them. Then use software to edit the arrangement and add sound and narration to produce a digital storybook version of their own. This laptop will enable students to fuse math, art, and world around them by creating and illustrating their own book. It will fuse previous knowledge with art while learning about math and allowing full artistic creativity.
