I am asking for donations to aid students in learning letters and numbers. My students were all enrolled in virtual learning due to COVID-19, and missed manipulating materials to aid in their learning and understanding. They are now face to face and will be able to use these tools and materials to independently reinforce what is being taught whole group. Due to restrictions because of COVID-19, students are unable to share materials. Many of my students are experiencing the school setting for the first time and using these materials will allow students to be able to self check on some items and will build self confidence. "But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood." Fred Rogers . These supplies will give students practice with letter recognition, one to one correspondence in math, number recognition and addition practice in a fun and meaningful way. These materials will also aid in reinforcing small motor skills as they manipulate the keys, clips, etc. which will help with their writing.
