My students are very creative and imaginative when they are playing in the dramatic house area. At times they want to carry that play with them outdoors and we have to explain why some of the furniture outdoors does not work. My students come from different backgrounds but we want them to feel they are all equal and have pride in their school. Right now they barely use the outdoor dramatic play area because of toys we have now. Having the dramatic house area outdoors will open new paths to play and facilitate more talk between children. They will learn to listen to each other and learn how to get along with other children. They deserve a place where they can be free and imaginative.
