A microscope can be a very engaging tool in science education. I would like to increase the number of students actively engaged in the microscopic world by obtaining some additional microscopes for my classroom. We currently have 8 old microscopes but with classes of 30 students, microscopy work has to be completed in stations in order to involve all students. The first time high school students see a slide teaming with microscopic life, they ooh and aah like little kids, something I never get tired of. I hope this project is funded so students can spend more time with their new, microscopic friends.
