As we transitioned to remote learning, I realized that many of my students did not have the music equipment at home that is available to them in our lab. In school, we have a keyboard program where students freely practice during their lunchtime as well as their class time. The lab is always open for any student wanting additional practice time. I have over 200 students most of who are very dedicated to their music studies and less than 10% have keyboards at home. With the keyboards they receive from this project, they will be able to continue their practice at home and share the healing power of music, joy, and laughter with their families that is much needed during this time of quarantine.
