As a teacher, I have learned that there is more to teaching than student learning. A teacher wears many hats, especially working at a lower income school. My students not only require learning the basics in reading, writing, and arithmetic, but also in life skills. Many of my students come to school lacking a strong social and emotional foundation. They are a wonderful group that--given the right guidance and support--will thrive in both academics and life beyond the school's walls.

About my class
