We are requesting the PENpal pens for our kindergarten classes at our school. The pens will foster the development of essential reading skills that kindergarten students need to master by the end of the school year. Students will be using these pens during literacy centers to practice fluency and recognize letters and sightwords as well as listening to some of their favorite books. They love using manipulatives in the learning centers. These magical pens will ignite interest and love for reading through technology. These pens will provide immediate feedback on the letters or words they are learning to read. They will create excitement for the students and they will help with their fluency. The students will gain confidence in reading and decoding new words, which will be a great asset to our classrooms.
