Students will be able to have a personal sketchbook that they can take home and create drawings and designs. Students will be able to keep their ideas for projects in one book and review them when they need it. Having a sketchbook will help my students to plan and organize their ideas before they start working on the art media to complete their art projects. In addition, the use of sketchbooks in the art room will help them collaborate with their classmates in sharing ideas and techniques for school wide collaborative projects. These sketchbooks will be very useful for my students, even when they are working in classroom projects because they can use it to draw and brainstorm ideas for science, or social studies projects. I like that having a sketchbook to keep drawings based on lessons and projects also demonstrate students' progress in learning about art techniques.
