My students need books to use during small group social emotional intervention groups including books that cover social emotional topics including how to identify emotions, build relationships, and cope with adverse experiences such as trauma. Research shows that students that have experienced trauma are significantly more likely to be successful if they have a stable, trusting relationship with an adult. These books will help build relationships with students by providing guidance for conversations on difficult topics, and showing them they are not alone. In addition to using these books during small groups, they will also be available to students to read while in the break room.
