I teach in a rural, socio-economically disadvantaged school, with 100% of the students receiving free lunch. My 4th/5th grades split classroom contains twenty-one inquisitive and forward-thinking students who love using technology to learn. Since many of them have little to no technology at home, they are understandably excited at every prospect of using it to enhance daily tasks. They are increasingly interested in new ways other students use technology in different parts of the world, which they have read about or heard on student news shows that we watch every morning. We love our school and want to pave the way for the schools in our area to try the cutting-edge educational strategies we use.

About my class
